Exactly what is an X’tract and why do I get them regularly?

I experienced  this technique for the very first time 5 years ago as a “demo leg” in a meeting to introduce the modality to others in my area. What you need to grasp is that my leg can retain some fluid at the ankle area and I wasn’t to interested in X’tract at that moment as much as the fact that a room full of people were going to be watching my leg! Once I got past that, I had amazing results personally and wanted to learn how to do this process and share it with everyone! X’tract is a bodywork technique that targets flow of your lymphatic system. 

I knew I had a lymphatic system, and I hope you do too. My training for X’Tract took me deeper into an understanding of exactly what this body system does and why it is so very important to keep the lymph flow going. It’s a way to clear toxins from your lymphatic system naturally. The lymphatic system plays a big part in your body’s ability to heal itself, keep away disease and restore itself back to an optimal level of health. 

The lymph system relies strictly on movement to keep the system flowing. When this doesn’t happen, toxicity is increased because the cells ability to move healthy things into the cells and rid the cells of unhealthy things that are damaging to the body is compromised. This creates a stagnant environment where fermentation can happen. Lymphatic congestion can lead to many other complications in the body. Signs that your lymphatic system may need a boost are: fatigue, aches and pains, flulike symptoms, mood swings and cellulite. These are just a few. If we dig a little deeper, we find that a toxic overload can also be the reason for headaches, nervousness, odor sensitivity, brain fog, frequent colds, sudden outbursts of anger, allergies and infections.

Bacteria and viruses are famous for hiding themselves in the lymphatic system. Ask your self this question – When I am overworked or stressed, Why do I seem to get the same types of symptoms? Some people have sinus trouble, others get a lung infection. We tend to take something orally to rid ourselves of the symptoms, but we never really get rid of the issue. (This can be either bacterial or viral) This is because the majority of the bacteria or virus stores itself in the lymphatic system. X’Tract is a way to create flow and let the body rid itself of these contaminants more completely.

My own experiences include many years of dealing with a debilitating digestive disorder. I struggled with how to get well and wondered if this was even possible at some points in my journey. Surviving somewhere between prescriptions and natural solutions, good days and bad days, the suggestions of surgeries with extensive recovery times, I was desperate many times over. I learned how to support my body with proper nutrition and ridding my body of toxins that the synthetic products left behind. Will I ever be completely toxin free? Most likely not, however, X’Tract on a regular basis is something my body looks forward to! I have a session at least once a month – if not every 2 weeks. At the very least, I would suggest at the beginning of every season to reset the body.
